- Eimeria maxima 3 – 5 x 10⁴ oocysts/ml
- Do not freeze!
- The vaccine must be stored in a dark and dry place between +2 ºC and +8 ºC.
- To be used for the immunisation of broilers only.
- Withdrawal period 21 days.
- Only healthy chickens may be vaccinated.
- Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
- Do not freeze vaccine, as freezing will inactivate the vaccine. Do not use vaccine that has been frozen.
- Do not use anticoccidial drugs in the feed during the whole growing period.
- Feed and water before and after vaccination must be free from anticoccidial drugs, including sulphonamides and amprolium and antibacterials that have anticoccidial activity (e.g. tetracyclines, nitrofurans).
- Destroy any unused vaccine by e.g. burning and dispose of all the vaccine containers after use.
- Although this vaccine has been extensively tested under a wide variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, contact the registration holder.
- Use the entire content of the bottle once opened.
- Only dilute Livacox® T with cool, clean, non-chlorinated drinking water.
- Do not mix the vaccine with other vaccines.
- Observe aseptic precautions. Ensure that all vaccination equipment is clean and sterile prior to use.
- It is good vaccination practice when handling the vaccine to avoid contact with the eyes, hands and clothing.
To be administered via the drinking water, which is suitable for chicks 5 – 10 days old, or via spray method, which is suitable for vaccination of one-day-old chicks in hatcheries.
Administration via drinking water:
Shake the bottle well before use and dilute its contents with the appropriate amount of drinking water as indicated below. Ensure consumption of the whole vaccination dose by withholding the water supply for 2 hours before vaccination, depending on the ambient temperature. Ensure that the medicated water is consumed within 2 hours of administration. Livacox® T can be administered either through individual drinkers or via chick-fonts, bell-drinkers or nipple drinkers. Provide an adequate number of drinkers so that all chickens can receive the correct dose of vaccine.
Dosage: Vaccine dilution should be adjusted to the age of the chicks and temperature in the poultry house. Use the following formula to achieve optimal dosage: 1 ℓ of cool, clean, non-chlorinated water for every 1 000 chicks and every day of their age
E.g. For the vaccination of 5 000 5-day-old chicks dilute 50 ml (1 ml = 100 doses) of Livacox® T in 5 x 5 = 25 litres of drinking water.
Administration via Spraying:
Shake the bottle well and dilute its contents with the appropriate volume of water as indicated below. Then apply in coarse spray (droplet size of 260 µm) to day-old-chicks already placed in transport crates. Sprayed chicks must be kept in the crates for at least 3 hours after administration.
Dosage: For every 100 chicks, use 1 ml (= 100 doses) of Livacox® T diluted in 19 ml of cool, clean, non-chlorinated water. Add a drop of an approved food colourant to be sure all chicks were covered. Keep in mind that each 100-chick crate must get the full amount (= 100 doses) of the vaccine regardless of whether there are less than 100 chicks.
The immunity will develop 10 – 14 days after vaccination.
Zero days.
